On a rainy, windy day my gardening is postponed to another day when the sun is willing to shine for me. So today i think about what to do next in my little garden outside my backdoor. Before i lay out some thoughts on what will be done next, I'll describe to you how it looks so far.
I have a nice 8x4 raised bed nest to my deck, with a little garden bed in front of the raised bed. I have a few pots on the edge of the deck as well. As for veggies and herbs I'm growing so far i have squash, butter lettuce, green onion, rainbow carrot  mix, roma tomatoes, dill, chives, red lanterns, pole beans two varieties basil, rosemary, cilantro, two varieties of mint, oregano, sage, and two varieties of lavender. Plants i have two lemon scented geraniums, 5 varieties of dwarf sunflowers, snapdrgons, celosia, cat grass and some various cut flower annuals.  My favorite out of the mix are the snapdragons, celosia which is a coral like boarder annual that is vibrant and exotic. I've attacthed a picture to show an example of why it is so beautiful and yet not many know about it.
Up next in the garden, not much really. I need to fertilize my veggies and flower bed. Weed out another small raised bed and replace the soil with better stuff. Then plant another flower bed in half of that, and let my friend use the other half to his own content.
I think i might also start a small raised bed on my deck, and grow pumpkins, and hopefully some cucumber and zucchini since they are easy to grow, you just need a lot more room than i have right now.
So hopefully the sun comes out and the wind dies down a bit so i can get back out there gardening.

A great ling for people who don' really know where to start, here is a link that will help you out.

Tip of the day:

When tomato plants are in the ground and you've hardened them off, make sure to keep well fertilized and strip the little leaves on the stems where the branch meets the stem. Remove lower leaves on mature plant to ensure no fungal growth occurs.

Happy gardening! :)
